Since a network is computer devices connected together, Internetworking is connected computer devices that are connected to additional computer devices all so connected. There are many Internetworks. The most famous is commonly called "The Internet". At any given time, many internetworks are connecting and disconnecting from "The Internet". Internetworks within internetworks.

Basically, it's a lot of wire and routers.
